  • One of six otokoyaku to feature in the fourth series of personal books, and the second in Moon Troupe to do so, the other being Ryuu Masaki. Asumi Rio's Personal Book.
  • † At the same time that Ryuu Masaki was announced as top star, she was announced as "demi-top star" of Moon Troupe. They shared lead roles for two Grand Theater performances until Asumi's transfer to Flower Troupe in March 2013.
  • She is the only to be announced a "demi-top star", although "double" troupe top stars were earlier when the system was only established. In that case, she is the last to be a "double lead" in the top star system.
  • Took over after Otozuki Kei's retirement as the spokesperson / image model for VISA.
  • Played the role of Der Tod in Elisabeth in both a shinjin kouen and honkouen, as did Ayaki Nao earlier.

  • According to a Ginzamag 2021 interview, Asumi says she suffers from bouts of low self-esteem. She confesses that she has been her Asumi Rio persona for so long that she hardly knows what her true self is like anymore. In her quiet moments she sometimes feels like a failure and has trouble trying to erase those thoughts. She does struggle with transitioning over to female roles and at times feels dejected when she can't get it right.
  • According to a Vogue Japan 2020 interview In regards to gender expression: Asumi says that perhaps she has been obsessed about gender expression her whole life. She likes the flexibility to explore different looks, she could wear a skirt, or pants, or cut her hair short like during Zuka time. She hopes fans and audience members would look forward to whatever look she comes up with next.
