  • Although an otokoyaku, she played two leading female roles: Scarlett O'Hara in Gone with the Wind and Elisabeth in Elisabeth.
  • The only actress in the history of the company to have played both Elisabeth (Moon 2005) and Der Tod (Moon 2009) in Takarazuka productions of Elisabeth - Ai to Shi no Rondo, she has also played Luigi Lucheni (Flower 2002-03). The only other actresses who played both Elisabeth (in Toho productions) and Der Tod (Snow 1996 and Flower 2002, respectively) are Ichiro Maki and Haruno Sumire.

  • She was chosen to write the monthly GRAPH column about her classmates for 1998.
  • She is married to dancer Senda Shinji and has an adopted son. She advocates for child adoption for those who struggle with infertility, and has published a book together with her husband about their family life.
