A grand historical romance set in China during the Shang Dynasty (about 1100 BC), about Shou Wang who ruled over all the lands and the woman called Daji whose actions brought about the ruin of an empire.
One day, in the inner palace among the women a trivial thing happened. This thing was that a girl named Daji from Jiangsu Province arrived among them.
Daji rode skillfully, knew martial arts, and was a very lively girl who did not fit in amongst the women of the inner palace who esteemed manners and avoided the outside.
Daji was treated poorly by the women of the inner palace who all wanted to become empress. Shou Wang at first was defending her from them, but that soon turned to love. However, the more Shou Wang loved her, the more she was persecuted.
Shou Wang built a residence Zhaixinglou just for them that no one else could enter, but on a pretext the empress ignored the emperor's orders.
In his rage Shou Wang forgot himself and threw the empress from the balcony.
To help relieve Daji's sorrow, Shou Wang had the qin expert Bo Yikao come to teach her the qin, but over time Bo Yikao came to fall in love with Daji.
Bo Yikao confessed his love to Daji and asked her to flee with him from the palace, but just at that moment Shou Wang arrived.
And thus a tragedy was born, where in maelstrom of rage plots were born and consequently the Shang Dynasty's destruction began....
- Final performance for Hanazora Rie, Matsushima Minako, Sonobe Ryuuko, Mitaka Hideko, and Ina Chigumi.
