Limitless Love
Sasuke has been tasked with bringing the blind Shunkin to and from her koto lessons every day. Secretly, the two love each other, although outwardly Shunkin is always finding fault with the young man. After all, she is the daughter of a proud family, and his family has served hers for generations.
Ritarou is a bully, and brings his henchmen along to wrestle away Sasuke so that he can have Shunkin for himself, but she refuses to take his help and instead calls out for Sasuke, who fights his way back to her. Ritarou continues to try on various occasions.
At an autumn festival, Ritarou again makes advances on Shunkin when Sasuke is absent. Sasuke arrives and begins to fight with Ritarou and his men. During the scuffle, Shunkin is shoved and ends up recieving a terrible burn on her face.
Sasuke blames himself. Shunkin covers the burn as best she may, but is conscious that Sasuke can see it. In order to make ammends, Sasuke borrows a pin and stabs both his eyes. Now he cannot see Shunkin's burns and the two are finally equals.
Passionate Barcelona
Returning to Barcelona from schooling abroad in Italy, the young Francisco meets the beautiful young girl Rosalia at a ball and falls in love with her, but the two part without being able to exchange a word.
One day, Francisco learns that his friend Raphael is back in town as well. The two go out to a taproom, and there Francisco asks Raphael's younger sister Monica to dance. Monica's lover gets jealous and starts a fight, and is killed. Francisco is now a criminal. He is captured, and then he meets Rosalia once more in the prison. She has planned a jailbreak with Francisco's aunt....
