"The Great Gatsby" is considered the pinnacle of twentieth-century American literature. Takarazuka Revue Company's Snow Troupe performed the world's first musical adaptation of the novel in 1991. In 2008, Moon Troupe revived the piece in Nissay Theatre to great acclaim.
Kanato Tsukishiro, renowned for her great acting prowess, will take on the lead role of Jay Gatsby in the third revival of this musical. The talented cast of Moon Troupe will bring this spectacular piece alive again as a two-act musical in the Grand Theater.

- The Great Gatsby was first performed in 1991 by Snow Troupe with Mori Keaki and Ayu Yuuki as the leads, and was revived in 2008 by Moon Troupe with Sena Jun and Shirosaki Ai in the lead roles.
- Final performance for vice-kumichou Kagetsu Miyako, Harune Aki, and Yoshino Yurika.
- Originally scheduled to appear in this performance, on 06/17 Shiragiri Tsubaki was announced to be absent from all performances, including the 8/8 and 9/22 shinjin kouen. No reason given.

Footnotes:
- On July 5th, due to positive Coronavirus tests among the staff, shonichi was changed from July 16th to July 22nd. Subsequently, on July 12th it was announced that the shinjin kouen date for the Grand Theater performance would be moved back a week from Aug. 2nd to Aug. 8th. A few days later, the show went on hiatus again due to positive Covid tests, and the shinjin kouen was completely cancelled. The show then reopens on Aug. 18th.
- Announced Aug. 18th, Urara Senri will be out from Aug. 19th until the end of the Takarazuka Grand Theatre run. Her role will be taken over by Nanano Ari.
