The performance is set in India in the 1920s, which is under the colonial rule of Britain. There is a fated meeting between Vajin, a young Indian man hot for independence, and June, a British young lady, and their tempestuous love affair begins. But June already has a fiance, a young Englishman named Charles. In the end, Vajin is caught in a trap set to seperate the two, and loses his life in the Ghanges River....
Twenty years later, a young English boy arrives in the newly independent India. He has come to meet his parents, whom he has been separated from for a long time, and he is June's only son. But why is Mark, who has grown into such a fine boy, the spitting image of Vajin...?
- Kodama Akiko's first Takarazuka show.
