A Small Flower Has Bloomed
Shigeji loses his parents and his family’s shop in a disastrous fire. While working hard to rebuild the family business all by himself, he raises the children who have been orphaned by the fire. The tale portrays Shigeji’s struggle between working and helping others and the pursuit of righteousness.
Fascination
A musical based on the 5 "S"s: Speed, smooth, spectacle, thrill ("suriru" in Japanese), and star. A revue using Latin pop and operetta pieces.
- The Grand Theater performance of "A Small Flower Has Bloomed" was from Feb. 13th to March 24th, 1981, with the revue show "La Vie en Rose."
- According to Japanese Wikipedia, there had originally been no plans to bring the show to Tokyo, but as Azuma Chiaki was retiring and strongly wished for it, it was done.
- "Fascination" was first performed from Jan. 1st to Feb. 2nd, 1982, with the musical "The Adventures of Puppy, from the Planet Miru."
- Final performance for Top Musumeyaku Azuma Chiaki, as well as Hanazono Mari, Wakamiya Aino, Tomo Chifuyu, Wakana Kumi, Akeho Memi, Takumi Kou, Kasai Rika, and Tamana Mei.
