Scenes 1~5. Prologue-Charming Etoile

Etoile stands on a golden stairway which reaches up towards the heavens. She sings the theme song "C'est charmant" and dances with beautiful young gentlemen.

The stage suddenly changes and the scene becomes funky.

Scene 19. A Charming Girl Friend

The boys and girls are classmates at a drama school.

A boy dreams about a charming little girl. He imagines he is about to achieve his heart's desire and kiss his love. Reality intrudes.

He dreams he is a feared gangster and helps his darling. In his mind he becomes a cowboy hero, "Billy the Kid", and shows his loyalty to his sweetheart by fighting with a boss.

But the little boy is not a gifted thespian and he is pulled back into the real world of school work. The girl doesn't notice him at all.

Years later the boy becomes a salaried office worker in a nearby city. The girl of his dreams marries another and becomes the mother of seven chidren.

The story is told through dance.
