  • Shares her stage name with both her mother, Takigawa Sueko (1913) , and daughter, Takigawa Sueko (1995) . However, the first kanji of her Takigawa (滝) differs from that used by both her mother and daughter (瀧), although has the same meaning. The reason is that the kanji in the 'Takigawa' toponym has been changed twice since 1913.
  • Passed away from cancer on 24/07/1993, while her daughter was still a student at TMS.
  • The poem goes as 'Although a clief has separated streams of the Taki river (Takigawa), but parted streams (sue) would bend it round and be re-united'
