The play "The Seagull" by Russian writer and playwright Anton Pavlovich Chekhov has been hailed as a groundbreaking work in the history of world theater, and has continued to fascinate many theater artists in Japan. This time, Takarazuka Revue will be working on a stage adaptation for the first time.
A country house on a lake in Russia at the end of the 19th century, at the end of the imperial era. Centered around the love story between Treplyov, a young man who aspires to be a playwright, and Nina, a girl who aspires to be an actress, this work explores the essence of art and life through the portraits of artists and the people surrounding them.
