Meeting a top star

I will go to Tokyo takarazuka theater to see Tuxedo jazz in april. Hopefully I will get tickets

Do somebody have any experiences of Takarazuka performances? I haven't yet been and i'm a bit exited :) It would be nice to hear experiences.

I really would like to meet Haruno Sumire after the show. But fan culture of Takarazuka is so strickt. Isn't it possible somehow to take picture with her? And give a fan present? How should I behave in this situation..

I would be gratefull for answers!

Thanks a lot

In addition to what Lucia said, you might find it helpful to read the info on the Tokyo theater on my website. It includes a page about iri/demachi.

Good luck!

If you approach a Takarasienne's fan club after the show, they will often agree to let you give her a letter, or they will take the letter and give it to her for you. But you have to ask first — just walking up to a Takarasienne and trying to talk to her or give her something is utterly forbidden.

As a sign of respect, fan club members do not take photographs. Non-members do, of course, and frequently they show up on online auction sites, but Takarasiennes never pose for them. The only circumstance in which a fan might have her picture taken with a 'sienne would be at a fan club tea party, at which it is often the custom for each table of fans to be photographed with their 'sienne.

Good luck getting tickets!
