First time seeing Takarazuka live

Hello, I'm new to the forum, this will be my first post ^^

I went to Japan last summer and before I went I told myself that I would go see Takarazuka.

Anyways, to make a long story short, I bought tickets basically to whatever show I could find and it happened to be "Rome at Dawn" performed by the Moon Group.

Anyone who might be unfamiliar with this show, it's basically the Takarazuka version of Julius Caesar.

I couldn't have been happier to see Jun Sena perform! She's definitely one of my favourite Otokoyaku!

I have gone to Japan in April 2004.
I have seen "Susano-o/Takarazuka Glory" in Takarazuka.
Everything was nearly a chance.
I didn't suspect what I will experience.
Actually everything was new and surprising.
I have read the contents of the performance later in Germany.
I had no time for thinking in Japan.
My Japanese friends weren't very enthusiastic of the show "Susano-o".
Everything is history meanwhile.
If I go to Japan again, I would like to watch a Takarazuka show once more.
This time, I am prepared a little better.

Ooh, That comment just caught my eye. I have that poster in small... My sister got it for my birthday (she knows me too well!). Now I have to go upstairs have a look and see what you're talking about...

It's always fun predicting the future top stars, usually it's reasonably easy
Yes panditty!! I love Yuuhi too ^^ I just hung up her personal calendar and she's so cute!
I wouldn't mind Yuuhi as a top star~ She's very cute and I really like her voice.

Too bad about the Flower troupe's Phantom ^^;; I saw the posters and thought it was something I really had to see.
You know, I really didn't like the Cosmos Phantom too much, and I think it's all to do with the cast. I was never the biggest Wao Yoka or Hanafusa Mari fan, as talented as they are. I think they were getting too "Takarazuka-ish" after being top stars for so long (I think tops must rotate, as sad as it is to let them go!) so I've only seen that DVD three times tops and I haven't gotten around to watching more than the parade "Never Say Goodbye" yet
So I'm jealous of you too Tika! :)

Just to calm you down about Flower Troupe's 'Phantom':
I saw it -live- and liked it less than the Cosmos Troupe's Phantom.
[Made me one or more enemy, huh?]

But I'm jealous, too. Moon Troupe is my favourite :)

The goods really are ridiculously expensive. They're doing a 50% markdown on all of the videos, but really, who is going to pay 10,500 yen for a video now? It's also quite annoying when several performances are cut out of a recording for "copy right reasons". Of course, I'd say a huge amount of my budget goes to DVD's anyway :)

So do you think you will be going back soon? Did you visit anywhere else in Japan during your visit?

(I love Cassius :))
Cassius was marvelous! So was Caesar's fangirls. I would be a fangirl for him too~

Unfortunately Takarazuka stuff is so expensive or else I would have boughten more. I just picked up some copies of LeCinq so I had some pictures to remember the performance by.
Haha. I'm sure your boyfriend enjoyed it. Nobody can dislike it after seeing a live performance!

The scene with Caesar's fangirls is definitely great, and Kanami Ayano is adorable :) I didn't get to see the live version, but I have seen the DVD at least 20 times!! I love the scenes with Cassius, do you remember them?

Flower troupe's Phantom... it's sad not to be able to see everything live. Did you clean out the official goods shop? I know I always do when I go

I have to say when Yuu Todoroki came out as Caesar! She was marvelous! Such a sexy voice.

I also enjoyed the opening when everyone was singing their praises to Caesar, and then Caesar decides that Brutus (Jun Sena) is a promising lad.

I also really enjoyed the part where Brutus and Portia sing the song 'Aishite iru', that was really quite cute.

The play was pretty sad, but somehow Takarazuka had to make sure everyone left the theatre happy with one big happy finale.

I guess the other highlight was dragging my boyfriend to a theatre filled entirely with women. Haha, poor him. I think at the end of the night though, he had all the music stuck in his head too.

One thing that made me sad is Phantom by the Flower Group started its run about a week after I left Japan.
