A comical love story set in the famous wine-making country of Bordeaux, France.
College student Fred is invited out to Bordeaux to spend his vacation at the Red Horse Restaurant that a friend's aunt has started. In the end, his friend has money problems, so Fred goes alone.
The station is crowded, and Fred plans to find Lisa from the Red Horse Restaurant because she is wearing a carnation, but it turns out that Fred looks exactly like Maurice from the Red Horse Restaurant, so she overlooks him. Maurice is on his way back from Paris with his servant Louis on the same train. With them is also Bridget, granddaughter of the owner of the White Horse Restaurant, and her guardian Robert.
Actually, according to the will of the former owner of the White Horse Restaurant, Bridget has until the Grape Festival 17 years after his death to marry someone from the village, and she will gain his fortune. That Grape Festival is set to begin soon. With so many choices, who will Bridget choose?
Ichiro Maki was originally appointed to perform the second role (according to her book Shinjutsu issued in 1996), but was out due to acute hip pain caused by innate hip joint dislocation.
