In 1919 he joined the Takarazuka Revue Danshi Youseikai. When the Danshi Youseikai was dissolved a year later, he joined the editorial staff of "Kageki". In 1920 he made his directorial debut, and he became chief editor of the Kageki in 1922. In 1928 he went abroad to study foreign musicals and revue shows, along with Shirai Tetsuzou. He married former takarasienne Otowa Takiko in 1927.
He passed away in 1953.
