    very newbie question - my apologies if this is answered elsewhere.
    I was wondering if anyone new if there was a Takarazuka production of Rose of Versailles (and associated stories) in which Oscar appears on stage in a gown as per the manga/anime.

    I had a vague recollection that the earlier productions of 'Bera bara' followed the manga storyline more closely while the more recent ones explored other character possibilities.

    The 1974 Moon Troupe version has Oscar in a dress in a second act scene with André singing the Ai sore wa duet.

    The 1975 Snow Troupe version has Oscar in a dress at a ball early on in the play. I suspect that the 1975 Snow and Flower version may be the same story version.
