tariffs and duties

Hi,

So, I'm completely new to the Takarazuka fandom, and just made my first major purchase (Rose of Versailles and Elisabeth dvds) from Crescent Shop. If they're shipping it to the US, how do I begin to deal with the tariffs and duties and whatnot?

Thanks,

Somehow my old job seems to continually come back to haunt me! (I was a Customs Brokerage agent for UPS a few years ago... I learned a lot more about the HTSUS, duties, etc., than I ever thought I'd need to know :) )

First of all, as your shipment is most likely valued at under $200 USD (and contains no textiles), you're fine. No duty. No fees.

Secondly, DVD's, CD's, calendars, books and other things are all duty free, no matter the value of what's being shipped to you.

DVDs: HTSUS code 8523.40.4000 - Duty Free
CDs: HTSUS code 8523.40.3000 - Duty Free
Books & Magazines: HTSUS code 4901.99.00XX - Duty Free
Calendars: HTSUS code 4910.00.XXXX - Duty Free

In short, you won't have to worry!
