    There's a young director named 生田大和, and I can't seem to find an official pronounciation of his name anywhere. The family name, I'm fairly certain, is "Ikuta", but I've never run across 大和 as a given name, and I'm not sure which pronounciation is most likely correct. Taiwa? Daiwa? Yamato?

    Anyone have any ideas?

    In case anyone is curious, it seems to be Ikuta Hirokazu. ;)

    Japanese given names can be a nightmare. If in doubt, your best bet is generally to ask a genuine, bona fide native Japanese speaker! Really I reckon it could be read as any of those suggested so far, it depends on what the family originally chose for their son.

    Names otherwise can be incredibly confusing, with the same kanji read differently or in bizarre obscure ways which I'm sometimes convinced is done specifically to confuse foreigners! We're trying our best!! Gambare~~~!

    Thanks! You're definitely right, those sound more like given names to me. Well, it's so up in the air I guess it's not worth making a page for him until we're more certain...
