tsukigumi (月組): literally, "moon troupe"
"Tsukigumi" and "Moon Troupe" may be used interchangeably on this site. Moon Troupe's signature color is yellow, and the current top stars are Houzuki An and Amashi Juri.
For the first years of the Revue's existence there weren't enough seito to create different troupes, but in 1921 they began dividing performances into two groups, with the first group (called Hanagumi) doing the first section of a performance, and the second group (called Tsukigumi), doing the second section of the performance. By the late summer of 1921, Hanagumi and Tsukigumi were official.
