Ordering tickets through the japanese online system on Takarazuka's website ?

Hello everyone,

After reading the main information page about how to order tickets and Deboom's topic from september 2017 on the forum, I understood that ordering tickets through the japanese side of Takarazuka's website is more convenient than through the english system.

I was wondering if anyone knew for sure if a Japanese credit card is mandatory to order through the japanese system ?
I already created an account on Takarazuka's website in japanese, but I have to figure this aspect out.

I did the process (and stopped before the payment) twice to give it a try...and found out that the seat numbers which were automatically attributed didn't change (even after redoing the whole thing). Did anyone else experience this ? I thought that the system would automatically change the seat numbers but it appeared it doesn't.

Thank you very much for any help,

@everyone

No luck for Sandy either, she tried through both sites and had no luck. Someone online mentioned it was Chapi's taidan as well and realized that made it make even more sense. I really hope Sandy is still able to help out, perhaps through some legitimate secondhand opportunities (later in the run, day of people cancelling). But thankfully there are two other shows near the same time! I wonder if the thematic similarity of Phantom was meant to help with the overwhelming turnout for Elisabeth? Regardless, I hope I can get tickets for that at least!

Same for me, no luck. For the English site, I kept getting an error message. Unlike many other ticketing sites, it seems that they don't hold the tickets for you while you are entering the info, so it is frustrating that after keying in the particulars, all you get is the error message.

For the Japanese site, I could not even log in 15 minutes before the sale started, so I knew it was probably hopeless to try.

Although I wish to watch a live performance of the Elisabeth songs, I don't think I want to buy a grossly overpriced re-sale ticket :(

Yes, I saw them too on the auction sites, just a few minutes after the tickets were sold out.... I don´t want to understand why people (I can´t call them "fans") are doing such this. I will also trying the same way as you - which other choices do we have?

And yes, I get tickets for one performance of White Heron.

@ Stonecold

I'm very sorry that you experienced the same scenario...
It was really frustrating indeed, trying to refresh the page and not going through.

I'm so sad, especially for my friend who was dreaming of seeing Elisabeth live once, just like you (I'm pretty disappointed myself, but was somehow expecting this).

I don't usually support tickets sales on auction sites either...I just saw some tickets listed for november this morning, which means that the person only bought them to make a profit...and it really angers me.
But I don't know what to do aside of looking for reasonably priced tickets through auctions websites.

Thank you for the link, but it seems like her service is suspended at the moment.

Did you get some tickets for "White Heron" in the end ?

Same here -_-

15 min before the official ticket sale started I was online and just waiting. When the sale starts I tried as soon as possible to get tickets, but although tickets seems to be available every time i tried I get an error message. After 3 minutes everything was sold out. I wanted to try my luck on the Japanese site, but there was also everything sold out.

Now I´m thinking about others ways, to see at least one show. It was always my dream to see one Takarazuka Elisabeth version live and now that I´m there at that time, I must find a way. But I don´t want to support ticket sales on auctions sites. If someone can give me a hint, please send me a message!

So how did it go for you ? Did you manage to get tickets to see Elisabeth ?

I didn't succeed :-(
The website was totally overloaded, and it seems like almost everything sold out in advance.

@Deboom, I've been looking for Sandy from TS asia, but I couldn't find her on the internet, could you give us a link ?

I hope some of you had more luck than me.

Yes I did print them (more like a confirmation code), then had to get the physical ticket at the box office window. The instructions were pretty clear on the printed page.

And that's so great to hear! I'm excited to hear everyone's schedules and try to throw something together once it gets closer.

@ deboom

Thank you so much ! It's good news to hear that you were able to order through the japanese system with your american visa card :-) !
I've got another question for you, if it doesn't bother you: did you print your tickets at home (it was an available option in 2015, but I don't know if it is anymore) or did you get them at the theater box office ?

Seems like most of us are going to Japan in November ! Also trying to get tickets for Elisabeth and Phantom ^^

I don't know if I can meet-up with everyone since my schedule for seeing performances is pretty tight but it sounds like a good idea. Let's see when we all have our tickets if we are going the same day.

Thanks for your response. On second thoughts, as kurohime already did, it is probably worthwhile to register an account on the Japanese site just to have it handy.

I will be in Tokyo to catch some OGs in action (Amami, Sagiri, and possibly others) and my plan is to try to watch Elisabeth. It being a popular show, I am also worried about tickets selling out quickly.

Yes, it will be nice to meet up. I can speak Japanese, so in case anyone needs any help in this regard, feel free to let me know and I will try to help if I can.

Hey kurohime,

Sorry for not seeing your message sooner! I ended up getting 6th row Robespierre seats in Takarazuka and 23rd row seats in Tokyo for Land of the Gods. But I believe I used both the English and Japanese website. I cannot for the life of me remember which one for which show, but one of the show's English sites did not work when general tickets went on sale, so I had to use the Japanese site to purchase tickets. I did so using American (Visa) cards however. But it was a bit more nerve-wracking to get the seats for sure when I couldn't quite read everything correctly. I'm debating whether or not to use Sandy at TS Asia for my upcoming trip in November, as she also is a wonderful resource. I used her service to get Tom Bow Hall tickets, as they are definitely not available for purchase through the English site, and I assumed the show would sell out quickly.

For all the folks headed to Japan in late October/early November we should meet up! I'll make another thread when it gets closer in time.

I hope this helps, but if not let me know! I have barely any experience in this but I'll try and help as much as I can.

My friend and I will also be there in November. We´re planning to see Elisabeth and Phantom and maybe even White Heron. We always try our luck with the english site and did get tickets in the past, but I´m a little concern this time about tickets selling out faster than usually.

Well we will see, wish you also luck with the english site!

Thanks for the replies. Sorry that I do not have any useful information to add for now.

I will be in Japan in November and hope to catch a Takarazuka performance. Most likely I will still go for the English site. The other foolproof way is to get a friend in Japan to help with payment, but I have already troubled my friend quite a lot and feel embarrassed to do it too often.

Like Stonecold said, you can only select a type of seat through the english system and the same goes for the japanese system. On the japanese side, they tell you from the beginning your seat number (which you can't choose, aside of the seat category like said earlier) whereas on the english side you have to wait until the end of the process to see which seat is attributed to you. I don't know why they did that...

Before the new 2016 website, the whole process was in japanese but you could choose your seats on an interactive theater map and pay with a foreign card (visa worked at least)...there must have been some problems like some people booking the same seats :-( that may be why they suppressed the interactive map...but it really was more convenient.

I would almost be tempted to try buying a B seat through the japanese system when "Castle of the white heron / great figures of the renaissance" on the 1st of September...so that we could definitely know if it works or not (before having to do it for real)...

You can´t select one certain seat on the English site, but at least you can select the category (except SS seats).

I never used the Japanese Ticket site, so I can´t say something about it.

I had intended to try my luck getting tickets from the English site. I tried to run through the English site but it appears that you cannot select seats. It is also annoying that you have to click into each performance date in order to see if there are any tickets left for that day. Are these the main differences between the English and Japanese sites?

I have not tried the Japanese site yet. I thought that chances of a foreign credit card being rejected is real and the delay of having to go through the steps a second time can ruin chances of success if tickets are selling fast. I had missed out when my card got rejected when I was trying to buy tickets to a popular play (not Takarazuka) just a couple of months ago, but fortunately I managed to get one through pre-sales lottery eventually.

Thank you Caithion :-) I used my french card 3 years ago (thanks to your help ^^) too...but that was before the system got divided into english / japanese.

I also wonder if they still offer the "print at home" option or if I have to go to the Theater box office to get the tickets.

If no one experienced this, I will see when the day comes to buy the tickets, and tell on the forum if my card got rejected or not.

I certainly used an American credit card in the past, but that was more than five years ago. Hopefully someone more recent can let you know.
