I know according Takarazuka a girl only can be Topstar for three years and even in cases like Takashiro Kei and Ayaki Nao were Topstar only one year. Thanks for your answers :)

It mostly depends on the age the girl becomes Top and the size of her fan club and who is nibante at the time for example Miss Aran Kei became a top after 15 years in the company when her classmates Haruno Sumire and Asami Hikaru did it on 11th year so they stayed as tops 5 and 4 years respectively when Miss Aran Kei did for 2 and a half years. according to top star chart in the revue magazine the longest top star otoko ever was for almost 8 years Miss Haruna Yuri. From 1974 to 1975 she doubled led Tsukigumi along with Miss Dai Takiko, then the latter took the lead for 75-76 and after her Miss Haruka led for another 6 years and 7 months. close comes Migiwa Natsuko who led from 74-80 for 6 years and 7 months, then 3rd comes Wao Youka 20 years later to lead for 6 years and 2 months.

I don't think there's a time limit...it just depends on when they get tired and want to retire.
