    I seem to be unable to find/open the topic/thread "Life as a Western Fan Club Member..."

    Two posts show up when I search the site for the keyword 'fanclub', but I can't get the whole thread to be displayed... :-/ (Those posts indicate it should be under 'General Chat', but it's not listed there.)

    It's entirely possible that I'm the problem... so if someone else finds the whole thread, could you please link me to it? ^^;;;

    ETA: Google found the thread... it looks like the initial post is missing...

    Hm, interesting... In the forum overview the threads I started have the red x and I can edit them. But when I open the thread, the starter post doesn't have a red x and the edit icon only yields a completely blank page...
    So I guess I can delete the thread but not just the post that started it.

    Not, that I have tried to see if it does something, but all my threadstarter posts still have that half-scary red X available next to them (at least as far back as january this year)

    I don't think we mere mortals can delete our own [threadstarter] posts. After a short time I can't even edit mine anymore.

    Also, this has happened to caithion's posts before, and she certainly would know if she deleted them...

    So what exactly happens to a thread if the original author happens to delete the first post?

    I've noticed this happen to a lot of threads on this forum. Zephy, since you're already registered on the TikiWiki help forums, would you mind asking if there's some sort of default time limit or something on the forum threads?
