oshibai (お芝居): "play"; "drama"

This term is often used by Takarazuka fans and seito to distinguish a play from a revue (revue). While the word oshibai does not expressly imply the presence of music despite the fact that all Takarazuka plays involve singing, it is likely they use it instead of "musical" (ミュージカル) because that term has a big, two-act Broadway musical connotation to the Japanese.
