Page Naming Guidelines

One of the issues with a wiki site is that each page must have its own unique name, so you can't have, for example, two different pages that are both called "Elisabeth". But if everyone comes up with their own page-naming format we could end up with multiple pages for the same bit of information; I.E. - a page might exist called "Sumire Haruno", but since most people will be looking for a "Haruno Sumire" page someone might create one, and then we'd have two pages with essentially the same information.

Please avoid using characters with accents (like this: é), Unicode characters (this includes ones copied from "English" titles), and adding extraneous punctuation (like exclamation points) in the page name. We recommend the double parentheses method when creating internal wiki links, and the bracket method for outside links. If you don't know what this means, or for more information on link formatting, see Making A Wiki Link. Note that when using the parentheses method, you must put a space after the "YEAR)", before putting the double parentheses to close the Wiki Link, or the page will not be named correctly. See examples below.

(You may see older bracket-method type links around the TakaWiki. They used to be standard, but we have changed the guidelines. We are working to replace those.)

Glossary Term pages may be called simply by the term itself.
