  • Played her first shinjin kouen lead at ken-3, record at the time.
  • One morning in 1985 she was running late and narrowly missed catching JAL Flight 123, which crashed near Mount Osutaka in the worst single-aircraft disaster in history. Out of 509 passengers and 15 crew, there were four survivors.
  • She was married in 1995 to the president of a brake manufacturing company.
  • She is a member of the Japan Art Academy since 2023.
