okeiko (お稽古): "rehearsals"

Rehearsals for almost all Takarazuka performances take place in the rooms connected to the Grand Theater. Only a few days before the first performance do they hold butai-geiko, or dress rehearsals, on the stage of the performance venue. In the case of a Tokyo Takarazuka Theater performance, for example, even after the last day of the Grand Theater run the performers have a short break and then rehearse in Takarazuka again before having dress rehearsals in Tokyo.
