Quiz Time! - December

I thought I would switch from polls to quizzes for a couple of months. This month's quiz is holiday-themed (apologies to those who don't celebrate Christmas).

You can try and guess, or cheat and check the TakaWiki for your answer! ;)

I'll post the answer in this thread at the beginning of January when the quiz closes.

I absolutely understand how you feel, and I certainly don't intend to do many quizzes. I was thinking of asking questions that no-one really knows the answers to, except if they hunt on the TakaWiki. More like a treasure hunt than having some fans know more than others; an excuse to explore all the things on the site that people might not realize are here.

I guess my problem is that whenever I ask for poll ideas very few people usually contribute, and lately the poll numbers show that people haven't been answering as often as they used to. That, and I'm always afraid of hurting someone's feeling if their 'sienne doesn't do well. It can feel like a popularity contest.

If you have any ideas for future poll questions (including possible answers!) please feel free to drop them in the poll thread!

It's a fun idea to do quizzes occasionally, but I personally prefer the previous polls. I enjoy hearing the thoughts and opinions of other fans rather than testing with factoids.

Unfortunately, Zuka fans can sometimes be a bit hierarchical. It's often joked that those who know less that you are "noobs" and those who know more "have no life." Differences in ability to access Zuka culture can be influenced by socioeconomic, geographic, and cultural standings. I don't have a lot of money to buy DVDs (God, we know they are expensive), but I live in Japan and go to live shows about twice every month. I speak Japanese, so I can access 1st source material... but I'm sure native speakers can learn so many more intimate details about shows and stars.

While occasional quizzes are fun to test our knowledge, too many could cause some to feel like their validity as a fan is being put to the test. Luckily, this month's quiz allows users to guess or research the answer, so it can be educational either way. However, I'd hate to see some fans feel left out or behind by being unable to answer trivia.

Thus, I personally prefer polls that ask our opinions so we can share our diverse strengths and interests. I hope the ratio of polls to quizzes will be made with this in consideration.
