Musical
"A Farce in Pigalle"

Paris in the 1900s. Pigalle, the pleasure quarter of the city, is situated at the foot of the Montmartre. This is the gathering place of many artists and the place where love is born in great numbers.

The world of Shakespeare’s comedy “Twelfth Night” is adapted into the Belle Époque, the heyday of Paris and Pigalle, in a musical: in which the original story is carefully weaved into the lives of some of the most famous historical figures of the era.

The setting of the musical is the famous music hall, Moulin Rouge, that you can still find in the Pigalle district to this day. At the Moulin Rouge, which is said to be the symbol of the era, a man and woman meet by chance, both burdened with their own share of secrets. As thoughts and feelings intertwine and their love story unfolds - including a rivalry for the heart of a woman -, this festival play presents a lighthearted, witty, fun, and, of course, romantic plot.

Apart from their love story, the play also boasts an ostentatious and colourful revue scene in the Moulin Rouge. A gaudy, exciting show that heightens the mood during springtime.
