Other

  • Studied traditional Japanese dance while active as a Sienne, earning the name Hanayagi Irene in 1987.
  • She returned to Mexico after retiring from Takarazuka, and currently works there as an actress, Benshi interpreter, singer, dancer, choreographer, producer and theatre director under the name Irene Akiko Iida. Also gives presentations, organizes courses and workshops and speaks on traditional Japanese dance.
  • The multidisciplinary theater troupe she is a founder and representative of is Akokompania (Facebook Page).
  • In 1997, celebrating the centenary of Japanese emigration to Mexico, participated as coauthor, director, choreographer and producer of the musical “JUAN, EL MOMOTARO”, recognized as the best play for children in that year.
  • She was a presenter at the 58 Mexican International Film Festival in 2016.
