  • She has an older brother, and their father died of cancer in January 31, 2003 (her birthday).
  • She has had a lot of throat problems over the years and for the last TCA Special she performed in as a top star, she was unable to sing and instead mimed to earlier recordings of her songs.
  • She and Anju Mira were the Osa and Asa of their day.
  • The Yan/Miki (Anju Mira/Maya Miki) combination was established in 1986 with the Bow Hall performance "Goodbye Peppermint Night."
  • Her idol was Daichi Mao of Moon Troupe.
  • Makoto Tsubasa and Minoru Kou were huge Maya Miki fans. They used to give Miki-san pictures/illustrations and fan letters in their early years.
  • She wanted to be a musumeyaku when she entered the music school. But because she has a low voice, she decided to become an otokoyaku.
  • She was the "Top of the Top" during her time.
  • The first and only Takarazuka Actress to appear in NHK's Top Runner (TR) in December 1997.
  • She was the first to hold a live concert, with a sell-out crowd of 30,000 in two days.
  • She was the first Takarasienne to have a solo photo book photographed by Kishin Shinoyama. The title of this book is "Guy."
  • She disliked piano lessons when she was a Takarasienne and put bandaids on a different finger each week to pretend she was "injured".
  • Is married to actor and ballet dancer Nishijima Kazuhiro
  • In 2015 joined the Oscar Promotion and changed her name spelling to 真矢ミキ.
  • Participated in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics Opening Ceremony
