OG Performances

Has anyone seen any good OG performances? Or noticed any that are coming up? Let's talk about them! I know a lot of people post about shows they've seen on the ML and on Livejournal... why not repost here? Pretty please? Even if it's just a link to your reviews or squeeage.

I've only seen one, when I was in Tokyo in March. It was a performance of Slouching Toward Hollywood with Kuze Seika. It's a three person play, but even so, her character didn't have as much stage time as the other two. I enjoyed the production, though. Kuze-san was especially cute in one scene where she was questioned about personal relationships and attempted to meld herself into the potted plant in a corner of the office set. :) I wrote up a short review here, if anyone is curious!

OK... being the only one replying to my own threads is probably the dictionary definition of "lame", but I'll do it anyway. ;)

Reviews of:
Shibuki Jun and Juri Sakiho in Shout!
Makoto Tsubasa in Bakumatsu Junjou Den
Shibuki Jun, Kozuki Wataru, Ayaki Nao, and Takashiro Kei in T4: The First Concert

Thirds everyone else's comments on Dancin' Crazy.

It's some of the most amazing Takarazuka dancers, including Oura Mizuki, Wataru, Komu, Hoshina Yuri, Kazahana Mai, and Ooma Miran. And considering how absolutely insane Wataru's energy is when seen live.... trust me, you don't want to miss this show if you can afford to go. ;)

And, y'know, if you happen to see any extra chirashi lying around..... XD

Oh, Becca. Would that I were. I was only on holiday. Five too-short weeks. :(

>>... Becca, your life DEPENDS upon seeing "Dancing Crazy". It's a tribute to Oura Mizuki, one of the best dancers in Takarazuka history, whom I can confirm has lost none of her incredible talent in the years since she retired, and all the other OGs appearing with her are brilliant too. If I could obtain the necessary plane and show tickets by, say, gnawing off my own arm, I'd do it, no questions asked.>>

Okay, okay, point taken :) Assuming my finances are okay, I'll try to brush up on my OG knowledge.

Lucia, I thought you were in Japan? Did you recently move back to the states? In any case, please keep your arm. It's a useful tool when squeeing.

I most heartily second princesslucia's sentiments!

I'll bite. I posted a review of Rika in Thoroughly Modern Millie a couple of weeks agohere.

I'm debating whether or not to go to Dancing Crazy. The reason to go, of course, would be Rika. However, I don't really know the other OGs who are involved. Which I suppose is an incentive to see some of their shows, but all this Zuka stuff is expensive.

You're just full of good ideas lately. I'd love to hear other people's stories — but if I had to retell mine, nothing would come out but exclamation marks. ;)
