The biggest quake ever but they are all OK.

The biggest earthquake (M8.8) hit the Tohoku and Kanto areas on March 11.

Tokyo Takarazuka Theater performance (Romeo and Juliet) was cancelled after the first half. Whether the performances on 12th will be done or not is to be announced at around 8:30 tomorrow morning. I hear all the yukigumi members are OK. ^^

Matobu Yu's lunch show in Tokyo was also interrupted while she was singing. She continued siinging for some time after the quake began, then she stopped and said in a calm voice, "We'd better stop, right?", "We'll be all OK, everyone. Don't worry." The show was resumed after the shaking had gone.

.....The Tohoku area (northern Japan) seems to be devastated by the quakes and tsunamis which hit the area afterwards. Please pray for people in the area.

Thanks.

They say that her fanclub staff updated the fanclub blog - there's nothing there about whether she's safe but presumably they would've mentioned if something happened.

There is a post in the Live Journal Takarazuka community that lists the OGs who have checked in safely. It is being updated as people find new blog updates and news.

Our condolences to the Japanese people for the loss of life in this week's disasters. At the same time we have been very concerned about the safety and welfare of our beloved siennes past and present as well as all the people of Japan. Our hearts and minds are with Japan and pray for the quick recovery of their country. Any information on the circumstances of our siennes would be appreciated.

As long as I know, all the members and main OGs are safe. Hanagumi, tsukigumi, hoshigumi and soragumi were all in Takarazuka or Osaka, which means they only experienced a weak quake.

"Ai to seishun no Takarazuka" (performed by OG members as Makoto Tsubasa, Kozuki Wataru, Takashiro Kei and so on) performed in Sendai, which is one of the hard-hit cities, just two days before the great earthquake. They're so lucky!

Yukigumi Toho Theater "Romeo and Juliet" performances resume today after one and a half days absence. Tokyo is still suffering from continuous and frequent small quakes, actually. Some people criticize to re-open, but I would like to support the decision by kagekidan. After all, we need a little dream in everyday life, even if it lasts only three hours, don't we?

I understand there are some members from Tohoku area. How they wish to return to their hometowns! But they keep rehearsing and performing to give us that little dream. God (or Buddha) bless them!! Please keep praying for Japan.
