Revolutionary Maximilien Robespierre

For the first time in the history of mankind, the king’s authority was challenged. Accomplished by its own citizens, the French Revolution came to be the very foundation of the peoples’ existence in modern times. In this revolution, which is often the subject of many shows in the Takarazuka Revue, there remains one central figure: a man set afire by the flames of his own burning ideals: revolutionary, Maximilien Robespierre.

It is a story of a young man who threw away his youth and burned with the passion to push forward the revolution, promoting the ideals of “Freedom, Equality, and Fraternity;” as well as his bond with his comrades who stood together united in their beliefs, and the romance that supported his conviction. This historical musical questions the path that mankind should follow.

This show will be the debut performance in the Takarazuka Grand Theatre for new Snow Troupe Top Combi Nozomi Fuuto and Maaya Kiho.

A dazzling voyage-themed revue in which newly inaugurated Top Star Nozomi Fuuto will “set sail.”

Beginning with a dynamic prologue featuring the departure of luxury passenger ships, this show will be built around images invoked from the new top star’s name 「望(HOPE)」「海(OCEAN)」「風(WIND)」「斗(BIG DIPPER)」 that overflow with hope for the future.

Please look forward to the otokoyaku aesthetics of Nozomi Fuuto and the charm of the new Snow Troupe all condensed into the ultimate form of entertainment.
